Who Am I?

I have been a practicing physical therapist for 15 years working in the orthopedic and sports settings. I graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in biochemistry before moving to Gainesville, FL and working in a lab for a year. After realizing benchwork was not for me, I completed my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at The University of Florida in 2008. From there, I did a one year orthopedic residency at UF then spent the next 8 years working in orthopedics and sports with special interests in hip and post operative knee rehabilitation. While at UF, I began working with endurance and lifting athletes and have written on incorporating resistance training into programs for runners. In 2017 I left Florida to work at Stanford Children’s as their advanced clinical specialist in orthopedic and sports physical therapy. There, I helped build their program while working with a variety of athletes across the Bay. My interest in working with resistance training athletes led to joining the team at Barbell Medicine in 2018 as the head of their Pain and Rehab Team. I moved to Cincinnati in the middle of 2020 and have worked with athletes through Barbell Medicine since that time.
